AOW Associates Inc, is a well-established, commercial construction firm in New York’s Capital Region and we are currently seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Project Engineer to join our growing company. This position requires an individual who is willing and capable of learning all facets of construction to include scheduling, project execution, managing scope changes, and project close-outs. We seek a team player who is flexible, responsible, professional, and is looking for advancement.
The selected individual will be supporting a major project onsite that was recently awarded to our firm. Specific requirements will include managing daily site and safety reporting requirements, processing submittals and RFI’s, assisting the Superintendent with work flow management, assisting the Senior Project Manager with scheduling and material requirements, preparing change orders, and facilitating project close-out requirements. This position will interface with the Owner & Architect routinely and will work with our Safety Manager on administering the onsite safety program.

Ideally, familiarity with Microsoft Project, or a related scheduling software product is desired but not a requirement; general computer skills are a must. We weigh education and previous experience fairly when deciding on what candidates will be considered; we welcome applications from new graduates with an Associate’s Degree in Construction Management or Project Management as well as those with at least two years working in the construction industry in an office environment or out in the field.
