About this Position

Seeking a Lead Analyst to join the Business & Product Delivery team within T. Rowe Price Global Investment Operations. In this role you will lead activities to manage large-scale changes within the organization that enable new product launches, implement industry changes, or support strategic initiatives for the firm on behalf of Global Investment Operations. The incumbent will partner with key stakeholders in Global Product and Investments to gain insight to the product roadmap and other business initiatives and coordinate with functional leads within the Middle Office and Performance, Treasury, service providers, and technology teams to design people, process, technology and data solutions in support of these business programs.

Role Summary

Leads and controls complex change management initiatives and programs, including product launches or enhancements, changes in the firm's services, enhancements to existing businesses, operational support enhancements, risk and security enhancement, changes driven by regulatory bodies. Performs change management for full, multi-phased programs impacting multiple departments or business units. Incumbents have developed a depth of expertise in a specialty Change Management area or a business domain. Works independently and under pressure with complex, highly varied, often contradictory information, while problem solving to adhere to strict deadlines. Contributes to the development of internal protocols and processes used to carry out change management work. Guides and reviews work completed by more junior Change Management colleagues.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Delivers and implements projects that involve complex, highly varied, often contradictory information. Problem solves to overcome barriers to change and build buy-in. Able to adapt approach and demeanor to match shifting demands and situations. Creates and implements change management strategies and plans that maximize stakeholder adoption and usage and minimize resistance.
Identifies, uses, and recommends enhancements to change tools and methods. Manages goals, risks, issues and resources and ensures change management standards are applied throughout each project. Reports on progress and recommends responses to identified issues. Helps less experienced Change Management colleagues identify and utilize appropriate tools and provides guidance on issue resolution.
Performs complex organizational and stakeholder analyses to determine change impact, change readiness, etc. Constructs long-term, sophisticated change management plans and enlists the work of less experienced Change Management colleagues as support resources on projects. Provides change management for programs or multiple workstreams within larger programs. May assist management with distribution of resources and assignment of projects to more junior roles.
Works with all required functions and groups to effectively plan and ensure adoption of the change(s). May coordinate resources across organizational boundaries. Trains and coaches project teams in change management methodologies and promotes adoption of best practices. Develops tools and training methods to enable successful change management throughout the enterprise. Ensures program delivery is in conformance with company methodologies and standards; recommends improvements and changes as necessary. Considered a specialist in this space.
Solicits feedback from multiple stakeholder groups to identify risks and issues, and leverages network to test and validate assumptions about underlying cause. Observes behavior to identify signs of change resistance / saturation, anticipates potential impediments and impacts and proactively recommends solutions. Monitor process, risks and issues through weekly reports and plans drafted/updated by more junior roles. Finalizes reports for presentation to Management. Escalates issues that will significantly impact change adoption to relevant parties. Reviews and defines next steps for issues escalated by more junior roles.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
8+ years of total relevant work experience

Preferred

Strong knowledge of front, middle and back-office operations within global investment management organizations, with a strong understanding of middle office related processes and activities (i.e. fund accounting, portfolio accounting, trade operations, derivatives, collateral management, security reference data management including pricing/valuation, performance and attribution, client reporting)
Strong knowledge of a broad range of investment management products including US and global equities, fixed income and listed and OTC derivative products, and a variety of investment vehicles
Experience operating in an outsourced middle office servicing environment
Experience designing, developing and implementing technology supported solutions in support of investment management middle office teams
Proven record of transforming business processes and implementing practical solutions to improve operational effectiveness, improve client service, and/or reduce risk
Ability to assess and document business needs including systems, data, integration, workflows, output, and the economic impact of each
Strong analytical and negotiation skills
Excellent verbal, and written communication skills
Demonstrated project and change management experience
