7616 Nuclear Project Manager
Location: Mineral, VA (per diem and relocation assistance is NOT authorized)
Start: August 17, 2020
Duration: Through December 20, 2021
Manages or supports specific phases of major projects including business development, site development, scope development, major contract negotiations, engineering, procurement, and construction activities. This role manages and directs significant projects for the next 2-5 years with nuclear station-wide impact. Directs single project team and manages total project scope from conception to final completion. Manages necessary resources and administration from within and outside the organization. Incumbents are in a temporary position or work assignment. This title is used only for the duration of the project. Project Management supports the Nuclear Engineering organization. Most projects assigned will be Electrical in nature. Experience in Electrical Engineering and managing upgrades to large motors and control systems is preferred. Develops and manages overall project budget and schedule for smaller projects. Projects ranging in size from major complex projects to smaller improvement projects in existing generating facilities.
Experience (At least 3 years) in project management, relevant nuclear engineering technologies, and nuclear construction. Ability to work and develop rapport with all levels of management and staff. Strong team building skills, schedule management, scope management, budget management and negotiation skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation capabilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Bachelor's degree is required. The bachelor's degree is preferred to be in Engineering, Finance, or Construction Management.
