Project Manager/Estimator/Sales

A-1 Glass, LLC is the Central Coast's industry leader in residential and commercial glass, window and door installations. We specialize in both new construction and retrofit projects in which we supply and install windows, doors, showers, glass rail systems, multi-slide pocketing door systems and more. We are hiring immediately for a Project Manager & Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position has experience and knowledge in the window and/or construction industry and has a keen understanding of architectural blueprints with the ability to perform takeoffs. Must have excellent computer skills with proficiency in excel. Candidate must be reliable, professional, extremely organized, eager to learn, and enjoys working in a friendly and fast paced environment while working with customers both on the phone and in-person. We want to invest in a team player who wants to grow with us and is interested in long-term employment.

The role of the Project Manager & Estimator is to bid, sell, order, schedule and direct the day-to-day projects of the business. This position is considered a sales and management position, and is primarily responsible for turning around estimates in a timely and efficient manner while ensuring the current jobs on the schedule are running smoothly. The position works with the install team, upper management and a Customer Service Representative who will provide support in answering the phone lines. Building rapport with new and existing customers including contractors and providing product knowledge is a must. The ideal candidate for this position is a true company and team player who serves as a liaison between the customers and the owners of the business; excellent interpersonal and communication skills is vital for this position.

Required experience:

Project Management: 2 years or
Estimating: 2 years or
Construction: 2 years (must have strong office skills/experience)

  • Valid drivers license
  • Ability to positively and proactively handle customer concerns and multi-task
  • Ability to quickly learn new procedures and processes
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of reliability, accountability and initiative
  • Willingness to work flexible hours

Position is full-time Monday - Friday, 7am - 4pm.
